May 31, 2006 - In a unanimous decision, a five-member panel of the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court yesterday ruled against opponents of Atlantic Yards on two issues. The decision reversed a Supreme Court justice's prior disqualification of the Empire State Development Corporation's environmental attorney, and it affirmed the same justice's refusal to prevent the demolition of five buildings in the Atlantic Yards site that posed a risk of collapse and a danger to the community.
